The Inclusive AI Lab hosted a six-session Inclusive AI Leadership Seminar Series with Prof. Payal Arora at the Centre for Software and IT Management (CSITM), IIM Bangalore, exploring how organisations can build, scale, and govern AI in a global market.
The series examined the strategic, managerial, regulatory, and social dimensions of AI, with a focus on purpose, leadership, accountability, markets, and inclusion.
It concluded with a hybrid policy conversation, “Beyond the Innovation–Regulation Divide: Governing AI in a Plural Digital World,” which brought these themes together around the challenge of governing AI across diverse digital societies.
FACILITATORS
Prof. dr. Payal Arora is Professor of Inclusive AI Cultures at Utrecht University and Co-founder of the Inclusive AI Lab. She is the author of award-winning books including The Next Billion Users, published by Harvard Press, and From Pessimism to Promise: Lessons from the Global South on Designing Inclusive Tech, published by MIT Press and winner of the 2025 Axiom Silver Prize for Emerging Trends in AI. Forbes has called her the “next billion champion” and the “right kind of person to reform tech.”
